Super unique it's fun and interesting. They give children scavenger hunt maps so they don't get to bored. It's cool especially if you're from the Rockies. I would recommend, pindale is quite small so this is something interesting to do.
_Exceptionally_ well done for a special-topic museum, laid out in a quasi-chronological narrative. Those who aren't experts in the Fur Trade Era really should watch the ~20-minute video before engaging the collection. That will help a visitor to appreciate the quality of the collections and the attention to detail in the exhibits.
Staff was great. Museum set up well. Just not my type of museum.
Have visited this museum every other year over the past 25. It's always been a treasure with their intricate displays, especially these past 6 with the recent discovery of ancient dwellings/burials. For those just "passing through" on their way to Jackson Hole it can be a great rest stop and is just a few minutes away from Fremont Lake. Great way to stretch your mind and your legs while taking in some beautiful scenery.
Great exhibits very interesting and informative. A must see for flintlock lovers
(One quibble: The Admissions desk will suggest watching the video orientation first. It is sufficiently well done that it is worth watching as designed, from beginning to end. But at least as of my most recent visit in Aug 2017 there was no way to know when the video was beginning, other than asking at the Admissions desk. Video could be digitized and played from a computer starting at 00, 20 and 40 minutes after the hour.)
